Project Summary

This 2-year project aims to develop, implement, evaluate and continually refine a training program to improve the science of adaptive interventions in education. The program includes training in the use of novel, sequential multiple assignment randomized trials (SMART) for developing optimized adaptive interventions. It involves three components: 1) a website with freely-available, web resources (e.g., lectures and software); 2) an in-person, 4-day training Institute for 30 selected scholars in each year of the project; and 3) two follow-up, mentoring-based videoconferences with each scholar and his/her team of researchers after the training Institute.
